The install of Ubuntu under Windows uses a system called "wubi".
There should be an entry under "Add/Remove Programs" under Windows which shows the Ubuntu instal
It also makes a change to a hidden file in Windows called c:\boot.ini

This is where the windows boot menu is configured and it should have an entry saying "Ubuntu".

Can you see the contents of that file in notepad?

Can you help with this problem?
