Also how do i edit text files in the kernel?

Andrew (and471) said : #2

To get a full graphical environment, run

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

(enter your password when it asks, don't worry you won't get any visual feedback)

This will then install the Ubuntu Desktop that you get with the Desktop Edition and the relevant X Windows packages.

If you are looking for something lighter than the whole Ubuntu Desktop, use the command

sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop

This wil install the Xubuntu desktop that is designed for lighter CPU & memory usage

What do you mean by text files in the kernel?

To edit text files use vim.

Can you help with this problem?
