Could not calculate the upgrade from 6.10 to 7.04
I start the download manager and get a message stating:
Some third party entries in your sources.list were disabled. You can re-enable them after the upgrade...
I then close the dialog and it downloads some packages, then I get another dialog stating:
Could not calculate the upgrade
An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.
Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/

It looks somewhat at one point in the log file that it couldn't load the source files properly or something like this.
could you please post your sources.list file from /etc/apt/ ?
try to do from a commandline terminal:
sudo apt-get update
and look if there are any errors.
If this has no errors you can try
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
I hope this helps
i did what you said above but no luck
mnk@mnk-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get update

You need to comment out those repositories that fail. It is not recommended to to a release upgrade with non-ubuntu repositories active.
