Searching For Large Files

Asked by jleigh'

How do I search for files larger then 1MB? - I would like to free up some disk space.

I can search by file name or content with the Search button in nautilus. But how can I search by file size?

Is there a utility I can install for searching (prefer an easy to use utility)? I am currently using Ubuntu 6.06.

Install the program "baobab". It is a graphical tool that shows where your disk space is being used.
There is also a nice KDE application called filelight which presents the same data in a much nicer way (which baobab in Ubuntu 7.04 will now do).
