problem with playing videos

Hello, I have a problem with playing videos - DVDs even other formats. I had installed all things which it needs, but when I open for example DVD in Totem, programme is immediatly is closed. I had tryied same DVD open in MPlayer Movie Player but it wrote "seek failed". Can you help me, please? Thanks.

By default Ubuntu cant use dvds and some other formats because they are restricted.

If you install Medibuntu you will be able to play the restricted formats.
