Sound

Asked by photojunki91

At first my sound didn't work at all, but then when I plugged in seperate speakers my main speaker began to work. Although my main speakers work, the volume is low and my volume control buttons on my keyboard control the volume level sparatically. I need help!!

open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

gnome-volume-control

Then a mixer should load up, drag the slider under the header 'Master' up to the very top, and then try playing some sound.

You may also add the volume control applet to the panel, by right clicking on the panel, selecting 'Add to Panel..', then scrolling down in that list to the volume control applet. This works in the same way as the mixer, click on it, and drag the slider up.

Hope this works
