I can't get any video at all on boot.

I just install ubuntu within windows XP but when I reboote the system starts up but I can't get any video.I type in with blind eye my user name and pass word and i can here the welcome sound. That means the operating system loud up but there is no video.

Do you have a multihead graphic card or a onboard graphic chip and a graphics card? --> Try connecting your screen to your other graphic outputs.

If this doesn't help, try switching to a console with STRG-ALT-F2. Can you see a login now? If not, until which moment in the starting procedure you can see something?

This solved my problem
I switched from DVI to CRT and that fix the problem.
After reboot I loaded NVIDIA drivers and now works with DVI too.
