On start-up I see: PNP Bios Caused error.

Asked by william

This is on 32-bit 6.1 on a DV6000 AMD x2 with MS Vista installed by factory. I am having issues getting the live CD to run. I often get black screen, and sometimes it runs fine. But it wont allow me to install. I have heard something about a Master Boot loader issue with VIsta??

Did you try to change BIOS settings to non-pnp?

You have to consult your motherboard manual for the answer to the first question.

To your secon question: You can certainly try that.

Hope this helps.
