Need a simple POP3 and SMTP mail server

Asked by Mark Thompson

The enviable has happened, during the migration from XP to Ubundu, I have lost my XP box running the email server for the family. I was running WinProxy, which I use as a very simple POP3 and SMTP mail server (http://www.winproxy.net/)

Can anyone point me to a Ubuntu package that provides such simple mail server. I would rather continue converting over to Ubuntu, as I have nearly hit critical mass, than re-installing a XP box. Apart from that it might be fun to have to put a mail serve in in a hurry on a Operating System I know nothing about.

Mark.

Hei MArk!

If I get you right, what you want i a simple POP3/SMTP server for personal
use.

Check the forums:

It seems that VHCS2 does the trick

Cheers
