How Can I Create Keyboard Shortcuts??

I got ubuntu 8.04 and I want to create keyboard shortcuts. I want to create keyboard shortcuts for Opera, Synaptics, and Banshee. I tried doing this for Opera, but when I go to KeyBoard Shorcuts in the menu and scroll down to activate the shortcut for Opera, I get an error message that says: 'Couldn't execute command: firefox. Verify that this is a valid command.' Well, I don't have firefox, I got Opera.
How can I enable keyboard shortcuts for Opera, Synaptics and Banshee?
