I am a newbie in Linux

I have not installed Ubuntu yet, but am thinking about, I want to ask is how do I configure Rogers Yahoo Hi-Speed Internet for Linux. Also is are there any download sites to install or save a disturbution directly on hard drive as opposed to an iso. I do not know how to burn a CD yet.

On the other question;

Is Rogers Yahoo your ISP? You should ask them if that's the case.
