I have xp and Hardy installed as duel boot but I want to add Opensuse 11 as well help

Hi all I think his question might not be for this forum but you all haveelped me so much with Unubtu questions so hear goes.
I have XP and Ubuntu Hardy running well at the moment as a 2% and 98% usage respectively. But I have the linux try-out bug and have looked at Fedora 9 and opensuse 11 as well only as live cd's.... here is the question... does someone know if I can add opensuse 11 to my system without stuffing up the grub menu? a point into the right direction to a good how to is all I need, Opensuse would get its own hard drive..... many thanks in advance for your help

You could do that and be certain not to mess up grub by disconnecting the other hdd's first. with only the hdd you want opensuse on connected - install it. You can add a manual entry to /boot/grub/menu.lst poiting to Opensuse.

as far as my experience goes with such stuffs, its better NOT ti install grub during SUSE installation, you should rather edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst of your ubuntu partition, and add the appropriate entries for suse.
i hope you have a seperate /boot and seperate /home too. if you dont have one, i would advice you to make a seperate /boot, as it helps you later when you need to remove one distro.
you can also have seperate /home which can be shared with all the linux distros. luckily, you can still seperate /home in your ubuntu installation:
