Hi

I just found out I had the exact same problem on my laptop.

Pretty simple to fix: The package only has to be reinstalled.

Open up a terminal - run the following commands:

sudo apt-get remove flashplugin-nonfree
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

It should work now. PS: You may get a different result if you're behind a proxy-server, as the installer may not know about the proxy settings. We can assist you with that if you encounter any error messages during the execution of the two given commands.

I hope it helps :)

Regards, Trygve

If you navigate your browser to the following address: about:plugins

Do you see "Shockwave Flash" anywhere?

Does youtube work now or do you still get the same error messages as earlier?

Except This:
Default Plugin

    File name: libnullplugin.so
The default plugin handles plugin data for mimetypes and extensions that are not specified and facilitates downloading of new plugins.

MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled
* All types .* No
Demo Print Plugin for unix/linux

All types are Enabled.
I have searched shockwave flash player but didn't find it.
Youtube not working now.

If you in Firefox navigate through the following menus: Tools -> Extensions, click plugins.

Do you find Shockwave Flash in the list? If yes; Is it possible to right click on it and turn it on?

I hope this helps
