what do you need javascript for? when surfing the web your browser (firefox) should support javascript out of the box. i don't completely understand your question.

i think you need it for web-browsing. you just need to have JRE on your system..which has been expainedto you in the other post.
why are you confused man ??

thanks for your help. I am a new beginner. made my way in throught umnet dependency icom clicking on ..installed sun java and also gor Hardy heron downloaded and installed.
