Asked by folmez

i have just installed ubuntu 8.04.1 on my acer laptop. this is my first linux experience.
it is the only os on my laptop. my wireless card is PRO/Wireless 2200.
and i think ubuntu supports that.
i can see my wireless network in the network connection page

May be you must simply change the type of your input passphrase.
and to be sure your type the right passphrase:
- create an empty file
- then open the file and type your passphrase in it
- then go to system->administration->network (choice the wireless device)
- type your network name essid
- copy and paste your passphrase from the previous text file
- play with different choice hex ascii ...
- disable your wired network card

Open Firefox and try to connect to the net.

Hope this helps
