i have a problem with my ubuntu filter search in my dell system, that pop up unnecessarily when i start using keyboard or mouse

I tried to update a mendeley software, some malware has crashed since then. I have not saved the update file but still my ubuntu 14.04 got effected.
The problem while using the system is all others folders operates on its own.
Later on, i continous poping up on search option when i tried to use mouse pad/keyboard.

I tried to reboot and install the new ubuntu version 16.06 by erasing earlier version but still the problem is not solved.

Please some one help me out of this, as i am stuck with my important work. I am need help ans support to sort out this problem.
I am using DELL inspiron 15 3000 series.

Can you please give a screenshot of the system. You will need to use a service like Imageshack or Dropbox to make a URL of the image to then post as an update.

Replying to the automated email and attaching a file doesn't work.

OK, looks pretty normal. Does the Dash (the thing you search applications in) show when you use the keyboard? Is that the issue?

@ andrew-woodhead: yes sir, the dash appears as I try to use keyboard.
It interrupts a lot and automatically cursor starts moving opening up other folders and files ffrom d dash.
sometimes it shows right side of mouse is operated displaying cut, copy n paste options. This keeps happening for sometime repeatedly.

Hi sir, Actually I am using a laptop, so I haven't tried using different keyboard. If you suggest me to use it, then I will try dat surely.
By doing so vil d problem get identified? Later can v able to sort out the problem. I need to look for alternative keyboard, wen i use it if the problem still persists or not, I will inform u. Thanks for information and support sir.

Might be a bad keyboard on the laptop rather than Ubuntu misusing the input you give. Testing using a USB keyboard will show you this either way.
