16.04 specs

i notice that the specs for 16.04.1 desktop say that the recommendation is for a dual core 2 ghz each core...i have a computer with a dual core 1.60 ghz. will 16.04.1 work on that?

Sure, its only a recommendation.

If you want a lower usage OS then Xubuntu is a good idea. It is designed to be light whilst retaining much of the functionality of the full Ubuntu
