delock pc password failed, need new password

reinstalled ubuntu 1604, then old password not correct
cannot unlock password user account,need to change to new password
the usual steps do not work here
,now only guest user on my own pc so limited so weird, please help me out
would be gratefull greetings hans kouwenhoven, leiden, holland
