Trouble with Installation

After going through the install process and restarting the machine, I keep getting a "missing operating system" message after POST, basically it's showing that the hard drive is empty.

After the partitions are created and the files are copied and the installation is ready to be finalize, I hit the advanced button to set where the boot loader is to be installed and I choose the same partition as the install.

Is there something I am missing??

I would make another partition called boot for the boot loader; though to be honest I have not done an advanced configuration.

Can you help with this problem?
