How do I post a tarball to "askubuntu"

Asked by Gary Kline

Last night, UTC, after a brief Q/A with user muru (at the ITT) I was asked to post the python src to the askubuntu page. I wasn't signed in; I just asked. How can I get over to the Ubuntu site, login, and post te tarball?

TIA.

If you can post it online (Dropbox for example) then make a URL of the file, you can post that

Super! I have the file on my website, but my system admin (or I)
messed www.thought.org up somehow. And, long/short, my internal
links don't work. The files of python are in an uncompressed
tarball. I'll check out dropbox.com and post that to the same
 place in askubuntu.
