Libre Office 5 - Data Base program

Asked by srikumar

Using Ubuntu 16.10 with the latest updates
and Libre Office Version: 5.2.2.2, Build ID: 1:5.2.2-0ubuntu2 with the latest updates.

When a fresh install of Ubuntu was done, the Libre Data Base program did not get installed.

How to install the Libre Office 5 (the latest) Data Base program ?

Thank you

Run:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install libreoffice-base

Then press CTRL + ALT + F2

And type:

libreoffice-base

Press ENTER to run the application

Or launch it from the Dash as usual

pressing CTRL + ALT + F2 took me to a blank screen which required me to login.
had to exit, re-boot and
used Dash to search to locate the Program and then ran the program from Dash.
it is running Ok. Thank you.
