kde application gnome compatibility

I installed ktorrent on gnome and it somtimes hangs the system completely. nothing on the screen works. i'd like to know how to solve this problem and whether the kde app ktorrent is really compatible with gnome.

The problem is not likely to be because of GNOME, as long as you have your dependencies clear it shouldn't be an issue.

However, it is possible that some of the dependencies may have errors / being broken. Or, for all we know, it could be a bug in kTorrent. I recommend you to do report the issue over at http://bugs.kde.org
