need to update openGL

I tried to play a game and it said I need tp update my openGL
I looked around the web and U'tube but all the info is 2 years and older and I know not to trust old how to's with newer systems.
I don't haveing a clue about this or the time right now to do hours of reading. So I thought I would ask here. The people that know the what, what, of the how to, new things. lol :)

Your system is ten years old so the information being 2 years old is fine.

The system uses an Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express video chip set.

This only supports up to OpenGL 1.4

You cannot upgrade OpenGL. You use the maximum version your GPS will support, and lower.

You are limited by your hardware. Unless you have changed the PSU in the system you are fairly limited to the video card you can use in the system. There is a PCI Express slot.

ok so I have a Aries n279 in hand is this helpful to me?
will it work with linux if it is better?

Also how would changing my PSU help my video. Is not pushing more power to something going to hurt it after time?

Appears to be an ATI Radeon HD 3200

This has support for OpenGL 4.1

OH! ok
so power down plug it in.
and I have no clue after that can you tell me anything about the what to do next or send me a link to a page? I will have time tomorrow to give it a go and see what I can find about it.
