The complete errors that are shown together are:

Make sure you are the owner of your home folder by running:

sudo chown $USER:$USER $HOME

You don't need to change the command, it uses BASH variables. Reboot to test. If it's still bad I suggest you report a bug

Ran the above first thing this morning and did a reset

Since I'll be doing a bug report should it be on Ubuntu launchpad or at the Gnome Bugzilla or both?
