I have telegram on my Ubuntu tablet & phone and also on my android phone. On the android phone when I get a photo attached in a chat, I just click on it and it opens in a big window for viewing. However, when I do the same in my tablet and Ubuntu phone, clicking on the photo does not open it in a big window.

How can I set telegram up in my my Ubuntu devices to open a photo attached in a chat window into a big window for viewing?

Questions that you do not like or cannot answer are just closed? That is not really going to sort out the issue now is it?

It seems that nobody knows an answer, neither do I.

Are you sure that this behavior is caused (and can be changed) by Ubuntu? Maybe this feature is only available in the android version, and not in the Linux version. Have you already tried asking this question somewhere else, e.g. contacting some kind of "support for telegram"?

From what I am reading this feature is not available in the Ubuntu version and that this should be a bug. There is no easy way to open a picture that you are sent in telegram.
