Changing the disk_crypt3_sda password?

Asked by Shaun Moroz

Hello~

Whenever I reboot my machine, it asks me for my disk encryption password. I remember it, but I would like to change it.
I know how to change my Ubuntu login password, that's through the settings, but I also want to change my disk encryption password.

Thank you for your time!

Run the "Disks" utility. Select the partition that is encrypted and then click on the settings icon for "Additional partition options". In the menu that comes up you should see an option to "Change Passphrase..." - it will bring up a dialog that requests the old passphrase, and entries for entering and confirming the new passphrase.

I tried that, it doesn't give me the option to change the passphrase. It shows the button in grey.

Can you help with this problem?
