Bluetooth on Toshiba A200-1M5 isn't working

when I try
sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth start
they result goes well
but when i try
sudo hcitool dev
the result is Devices:
empty

so anyone?

What ubuntu are you using? Attach sudo lspci -vvnn please.

I have a A200-23V and a face a similar problem. The 'bluetooth start' responds OK but no one can detect me and I cannot detect no one.

My toshiba A200-1z3 bluetooth is not even recogonized i am a total newbie :
