Lenovo Yoga 710 14" dual boot issue

Recently got the Yoga 710 and can't for the life of me dual boot Ubuntu. Any time I attempt to install I get an acpi error followed by "platform device creation failed: -16".
Anybody got any suggestions or managed to boot it with no issue? Oh and I had no problem booting to a different device.
