error could not resolve 10.0.0.1:800

on running apt-get update i get the error could not resolve 10.0.0.1:800, i've checked /etc/hosts,/etc/reolv.conf all is ok there but it sticks at zero % then gives me the error lastlt it gives me the message You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems.
i have to update so a to install phpmyadmin on my lamp server.. what must i do?

well... a 10.x.x.x address is an internal ip address... and the fact that this is 10.0.0.1 indicated this would be a gateway... the port 800 sounds very odd.

Perhaps you are being blocked by a firewall.
