Ubuntu starts in low graphic mode after installing Gnome

Asked by Šimon Šustek

Hi everybody,
I have problem to start ubuntu 16.04 (Intel integrated graphic) after installing latest version of gnome and kde (i wanted to try these) and their windows managers (gdm, kdm), after reboot it just stoped on loading screen(recovery mode worked) and after trying to reinstall lightdm and ubuntu desktop, restore the xconfig file, it started to low graphic mode...
I can run the startx command in tty then it just show incomplete unity without panel...
I want back my good unity and lightdm.
Any ideas?
Thank you for your answers

How did you install the Gnome session?

Just simply sudo apt install gnome, then I chossed the gdm as window manager, logoff from unity log in to gnome, did something (like opening broswer, explore the desktop...), uninstall. Then I did the same with KDE.
And after uninstalling both, reboot and the thighs went like I wrote before.

Solved!
I removed conf files of lightdm,ubuntu-desktop and xorg, and reinstalled them.
I did not realize that conf files survived the reinstallations. My fault!
