amd64 laptop. seeking to play DVDs

before installing libdvdcss2 I am trying to install medibuntu as unsupported repository and having gone through...
sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/gutsy.list-0/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list
......I get error 404

That error means that the site/server cannot be found, this may be either due to:-
1) The Medibuntu site is down, so you will have to try later.
or
2) You may have made a mistake in the address.

Take a look at the command you executed with the command that is mentioned in the Medibuntu repository how-to and see if they match, both commands must be the same, right down to the little spaces. :)

sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/hardy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2
That should do it.

thanks I believe you were right about incorrect address,Following the path I came to in the end media change and insert disc 7.10 and press enter
I guess this means insert the CD 7.10 installation disc that I got to change over to linux????????
