Stuck in black screen after turning on my pc

I have just innstalled a new nvidia driver. And the system required a restart to complete the innstallation when it was done rebooting and i was past the "choose ubuntu or Windows" point. The pc stoped at a black screen with the following text /dev/sda8: clean, 238241/13524992 files, 7498369/54094848 I have tryed to both press the power botn and fore shut it down with holding in the power botn for 3 sec. But the same screen with the same nubers come's up every time. What should i do? I am new to ubuntu
