Unable to install Ubuntu, grub installation failed /target/

Ive been using ubuntu 16.04 Unity for a week now, i want to try ubuntu 16.04 Gnome and after trying to install, and getting error for not able to install grub on /target/.

I tried to install other distro but it get the same problem.

I deleted the EFI files for grub and ubuntu, it still dont work.

Why didn't you just install the gnome shell on your existing installation? You can choose the session at login.

I wanted a clean install as ive lots of repos and apps on it. But I just figured that when i install using the first option where it say install along side with Windows, it works.

I cant find the session at login when before i was using Unity
