When I minimize windows I cannot maximize them again. Only if I press Alt+tab. Is there a way to list it on the bottom panel like windows? In the help it says to configure window list but I can't find "window list"

right click a panel select add to panel, look for window list in the resulting dialog and add it and you'll be sorted out
