Firefox 3.0.1 on Gutsy? Even after reloading, Synaptic only shows packages for a 3.0 alpha or 2.0.0.16.
Asked by
Nathan Dorfman
I would like to install the current release of Firefox, 3.0.1, on my Ubuntu 7.10 box. Naturally, I would prefer to install an Ubuntu package rather than the generic tarball.
In Synaptic, after I click Reload, the available versions are firefox (2.0.0.16), firefox-trunk (a random trunk build) and firefox-3.0. The latter is *not* 3.0.1 or any other production release, but rather appears to be the same version as firefox-trunk (they share the 'Latest Version' value of 3.0~alpha8-[...].
Am I missing something?
