new version of wubi.exe?

Is there a new version of wubi.exe? I have used the old ver several times to install hardy from within windowsxp sp1 without any success. Thanks, A.

The new wubi.exe asked me to connect to releases site and tried to download 699Mb which would need over 20 hrs. A.
