Mousepad isn't working (and probably isn't detected)

Asked by waleed

I just got Ubuntu 15 and everythings seems to be working smoothly after a few updates and upgrades, however the mousepad isn't responding at all. It's like the system doesn't recognise it as a mousepad. I don't have windows anymore, but when I did the mousepad was working without any problems at all. Ive tried with an external mouse which seems to working perfectly.
I have a Packard Bell ENTG71BM-C80D

There is no "Ubuntu 15". It doesn't exist. There is Ubuntu 15.04 (codenamed Vivid) and Ubuntu 15.10 (codenamed Wily). Neither of these releases are supported and there are no updates for them.

I suggest you wipe the install off and do a clean install of Ubuntu 16.04. This is the latest LTS release and is supported til April 2021.

I of course meant 15.10
i wrote in a bit of hurry.
And I've tried 16.04 which was worse and barely working. So i decided to downgrade to 15.10
