Ubuntu not booting Vista

i have windows xp, windows vista and ubuntu installed on my system.
(vista and ubuntu are on the same HDD; XP is at 2nd HDD)
Grub shows my XP system and i can boot XP normally but it doesnt show the Vista; and i couldnt add the vista to the menu.lst no matter what i did.

i added this to menu.lst:

title Vista
root hd(0,1)
makeactive
chainloader +1

but when i select it from grub it says "Unknown partition type" ?!?!?!?!

Someone PLEASE help me!

Try this:

title "Vista"
root (hd0,1)
makeactive
chainloader +1

Was Windows XP shown in Vista Bootloader before installing Ubuntu?
