Wine installation problem

when ever i'm trying to installing the wine it shows "DEPENDENCY IS NOT SATISFIABLE:bimfmt-support"
I'm using ubuntu 8.04 and i'm now able to play the audio files also tell me where can iget the codecs for it

About the wine problems, post the output of:-
cat /etc/apt/sources.list

About the codecs, you must install the GStreamer plugins which you can install by opening the Synaptic Package Manager in System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager and searching for "gstreamer". The packages you are looking for are:-
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good

Tell me wher can i download the gstreamer.tell me the website or send me a lonk of it.I'm not able to get those links.

It's not really in a web site, you can install it using apt or the Synaptic Package Manager since they are found within the Ubuntu repositories. As I said before, the Synaptic Package Manager is found in System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager.
