need to deinstall ubuntu and reinnstall it. how???

i need to remove ubuntu from this pc and install it again, my son has somehow managed to erase part of this system making it nearly unusable, ho dan i deinstall it to repair it?

Just re installation will take 30 minuites.

Boot in to your live cd and just select Install.

In petitioning stage just formate the partition where the old ubuntu is Already there.

Then select the same partition for installation.

Then all other things are same as normal installation.

Cant boot from cd, do not have a clue why, it just keeps loading the old ubuntu,

the rechner will not boot from cd, it just keeps loading the old ubuntu version, the one that will not work propally

OK Change the boot up order in your bios to boot from CD rom first..

after changing the boot sequence in bios everything gets worse and the pc wont boot at allbrakes with change to slave, tried all possibilitys with the result the pc will only boot from c:

Hello Steve,

Each bios is different, and separated from Ubuntu, so it will be hard for us to help you... But unless your hardware is broken, it should not be difficult to boot from the CD once found the good menu. And when you will be booted on the CD, everything will work properly (hope for you).
