Problem installing ubuntu on vista

Hi

            My laptop is DELL XPS 1530, I have windows vista Home Basic Edition. I want to install ubuntu on it, but my laptop has two partitions one for vista another one is recevery data.Where can i install ubuntu,can i create an another partition for linux. I dont want reinstall my vista.....

Pls help me !!
