installing ubuntu from cd requiring dual boot

During the install from cd at screen
Prepare disk space
exactly what option should I choose to ensure dual booting?
I hve plenty of room on disc as only about 12GB iused on a single 74GB partition on hard disk

Just use the "Make space by resizing" option. Vague wording from memory.
Dual boot should work, just make sure you don't tell it to erase the complete disk.

the 3 options are
guided - resize
guided - use entire disk
manual

So to be clear which do I choose?
