install xp

i hav ubantu installed on my lapto.i wanted install xp nw.but when i boot from xp cd it displays a msg that no hardware is detected seems hardisk is not detected,how can i install xp.?

That is a Windows XP problem not an Ubuntu problem. Please find a suitable Windows discussion forum or contact Microsoft.

Possible solution:
Do you need to load a driver for a RAID setup which is not on the XP disc? (Contact the laptop manufacturer)
