Can't update, no connection getautomatix.com (82.165.193.29), tried "apt-get update" and "update manager".

Could not get to Automatix through Ubuntu help nor could I access the automatix page. Earlier I clicked on all the packages to load and automatix was one of them. This was first time with Linux so tried everything. Whatever automatix is, it was in my source.list and blocked updates. Tried a bunch of suggestions typing lines into the terminal. Gave up and just formatted the disk and installed again. Good to go for now. Thanks.
