My internet goes idle whenever my computer goes idle. After i come back i just reconnect to my wireless router and everything is fine again. i think its ubuntu's problem because i run windows too and it doesn't do anything. i saw that someone had this problem fixed but i have no idea what he did.
I am a noob at ubuntu so i need step by step help.

I guess your DSL modem (or similar) is set to dial-on-demand and if there is no network activity it disconnects?
I think you must be able to disable dial-on-demand in the router config and set it to always-on. Don't do this if you are charged by the minute though.
If Windows is never idle on the network, then that would worry me more. What is it transmitting to the network all the time?

Can you help with this problem?
