Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at [WWW] https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see [WWW] https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs .

uTorrent is a Windows application so you are only able to install it using Wine and emulating it. You can find a guide at http://news.softpedia.com/news/uTorrent-under-Ubuntu-in-3-Easy-Steps-49037.shtml.

However, I suggest you stick with the available applications on Linux such as Azureus, KTorrent or Transmission. (They are all available through Synaptic and Transmission is installed by default. You can find it under the Applications > Internet menu.) They all work in a similar way and are far easier to use on Linux than uTorrent.

use Ktorrent I am using it download speed is really high and you will certainly start forgetting utorrent after using ktorrent
Terminal is horrible and very slow
tried utorrent and Azureus thru wine but that also is nothing comparing to ktorrent

stick to KTORRENT

Azureus is available on Linux. There is no need to emulate it through Wine.
