You could try with the package "atitvout":

sudo aptitude install atitvout

if you havent that package please read <a href="https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu">How to add repositories to Ubuntu</a> and retry.

Then try playing with the "atitvout" command to activate your card or give us the output of the following command:

sudo atitvout -f detect

Can you help with this problem?
