Compiz Fusion black screen

after i install compiz fusion and then i enabled the animations effects. after getting it when i open windows it will appear blank black screen.Nothing will appear. There is no other os in my system.

my hardware is nvidia geforce 5 fx 5200 and ubuntu version is 8.04 LTS (Hardy Heron)
