wireless router for dell 1100 laptop

Asked by larry stevens

I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop that I want to install a wireless adapter in the laptop and get a wireless router to use with our PC. Does anybody have ideas or experiences on what adapter/router to get (or not to get) for the Ubuntu 8.04 OS. We are thinking about using a "G" system router (rather than an "N" system).

Hi,
Which router you should but does not matter that much. It is the NIC you are going to use with Ubuntu that is important.

Look here for a list of wireless NIC/chipsets that Ubuntu can support: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/WirelessCardsSupported

Can you help with this problem?
