Is there a fix coming for those who downloaded the latest hardy update on a Dell? It's knocked out our wifi.

Asked by perl1011

I now have no wifi. When I click on the network indicator in the upper right hand corner of the screen, there is not even an option for wireless. I don't understand ANY of the workaround that seem to relate to this issue. I"m totally new to Ubuntu and this is all a foreign language to me. Do I have to go back to Windows? :(

you stated that question on Jul. 10th 2008, perl1011. Therefore I assume you used a version of Ubuntu <= Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS. since the dektop version is officially eol (end of life) I suggest you colse this question on launchpad.

Unfortunately I do not have the powers to change the state of this question to SOLVED, EXPIRED or INVALID. Someone here at Launchpad either grant me that permission or simply apply the change in state to this question, please.

Can you help with this problem?
